Hancock Street Preschool is a cooperative preschool, and this means it takes the efforts of all the parents to make it successful. Fundraising allows us to add new materials and create experiences that enrich our program.  The main fundraiser for the school is the sale of florist quality, beautiful poinsettias. All families are expected to participate in the fundraiser through the sale of poinsettias and/or cash donations.

Families are also required to participate in the scrip program, which is a dollar-for-dollar exchange using gift cards for many local businesses. Families can buy gift cards from a number of participating merchants for groceries, fuel, clothing, toys, entertainment, electronics, home improvement, and household services. Some of the profit from the sale of these gift cards is awarded to the school.

The financial goal for fundraising is set each year by the Board of Directors.
