Play Room: Blocks, Playhouse, Circle Time

Playing in the playhouse.Children work independently and collaboratively in the block room, which is filled with wooden blocks, a playhouse, and rotating hands-on activities.

The Building Area, where children actively construct and experiment, inspires artistic expression, as well as math and critical thinking skills.

Our Playhouse is often a home center, but at times it also serves as an office, hospital, fire station, magic corner, grocery store, or restaurant. There is a great variety of clothes and accessories for dressing up and role-playing. Children will often dress up, then carry their imaginative play throughout the classroom.

Circle time fun.Creating a community where every person is respected and celebrated is one of our primary goals at Hancock Street Preschool. Circle Time brings the teacher and children together each day for songs, movement, stories, conversations, and community building. We laugh, play and learn together.
