Art Room: Art Projects, Playdough/Flubber

Art is a very large component of our curriculum. Every child has many opportunities each day to paint, glue, cut, and create his or her own artwork. The activities are designed for children to explore, create, experiment, and express their individual styles and interests. The emphasis is on the artistic process, rather than the final product.

We alternate playdough and flubber every three weeks. This comforting area presents the opportunity for role-playing, problem solving, tactile stimulation, small motor skills, and social interaction. This is also the room in which we all gather for snacks.
